| The Swallow was an early 19th century whaling ship out of New Bedford, often described as a Barque. Reportedly it was owned by Henry Cooper. It may have been in service in the 1884 when ship under the same name left New Zealand. The model is hand made in the early 1900s and was de-accessed from a New England museum. Very detailed, with a mahogany base and glass case measuring 30.5"W x 24.25"H x 10.5"D; the ship is approximately 27.5"W x 21.5"H x 8"D. Relatively minor repairs to the rigging, one of the spars and lifeboat davits. | |||||||
