| The four shell form salts are matching, all with a "J. H." maker's hallmark and with the 1898 hallmark date for Birmingham, but the five shell form spoons, one more than the set requires, consist of three with twisted shafts which we think go with the set, while the other two do not match the set, and are therefore associated. The presentation box, in fair condition, is somewhat warped and although the black leather surface has been refreshed and is original, is not in excellent condition. RL* | |||||||
