| We believe this small box was made by the cabinetmaker showing off his veneering and inlay skills as well as a sampling of the various different woods on hand for work. We count nine different kinds of wood used in the inlay process. Inside on the bottom edge of the lid are the initials "A S N". The shape of this is similar to glove boxes we have seen. There is a slight "smile" warp to the lid, and the lock may work. No key. 2 1/2" X 12 1/4" X 5 1/4". | |||||
