| A fine medallion punch bowl, 11 1/2" in diameter. An exceptionally beautiful 18th century punch bowl, with four major medallions showing gathering figures having a party and exchanging human relations, and eight smaller monochrome decorated medallions in red iron oxides showing delicate landscapes. The gold background is rubbed off somewhat from wear. The internal bowl is sparsely decorated with a sprig of flowers and a stylized border on top. The bowl rings well, but careful inspection reveals one rim 1" hairline repair. RL* | ||||||
