| A "theorem" painting on ivory velvet in a rosewood veneer frame using the technique of stencil painting. The painting is delightful and the highlights refined. The floral arrangement features tulips, roses, morning glories and other flowers and two butterflies. Although there is minor discoloration in the velvet fabric, the art has apparently never been removed from the original frame. Ca 1850- 1870. 23 1/2 X 15" | ||
