| An oil painting dated 1960 depicting a side-wheeler riverboat, signed E.H. McGee. McGee, a 20th Century American artist, has signed and dated the work lower right. McGee's outsider artist style captures both the gaudiness and glory of those 19th century Mississippi River steamboats. The aging of the painting with crackelature and some discolorations adds to this old time charm. Signed and dated lower right, "E.H. McGee 11-24-60". Mounted on the frame is the paper tag:"River Queen, the last of the Mississippi packets at Bradenton, Florida." Apparently original frame. Painting size: 18.5" x 35.75" | |||||
