| Two hand sewn Egyptian revival textile tapestry like wall hangings, each about 20" X 52". The subdued colors of blues, reds, greens, browns, whites and black have faded with age, now looking like the original Egyptian tomb decorations may also be like after thousands of years. The 1920s revival of Egyptian interest was not the first in decorative arts, although we think that's when these originated. They were found with large black half round frames, and taped to the backing, but we have been since conservation mounted with plexi-glass shadowbox frames. Stunning. RL* | |||||
