EARLY AMERICAN SHELF CLOCK

A 19th century American "ogee" clock of New England origin. Inside is a label stating the clock was made by The Forestville Manufacturing Company J. C. Brown located in Bristol, Connecticut. The two weights power both the strike and time mechanisms and are wound every week. The finish on this mahogany veneered clock case appears to be the original, with alligatored age imperfections.
