An unusual early 18th Century Queen Anne table whose top is 28"X 54". The caster mounted pad or spoon feet are classic Queen Anne and are pegged into the frame below the top; working drawers on both sides have brass pulls, that appear original. This table is unusual for several reasons. The use of mahogany in the early 1700s was unusual. A very rare matching pair of Georgian or American Federal candle boxes. Each is dovetail constructed in solid mahogany with ebonized or ebony inlay stars and circles. Both are in excellent original condition, with old finish and modest wear. One has had a now long ago repaired split on the right side of the carcass.
