A pair of carved solid walnut plaques featuring a beaver on one and a squirrel on the other. These may have started out as carved plaques or the like, although they would make interesting bookends. 5 1/2" square each. Priced for the pair. A high quality hand woven basket, possibly used as a sewing basket. The lid with small central handle and opening with woven hinges. Tight weave, fine material, well fitting throughout. An example of the art of weaving, with some discoloration on the top from light and dust exposure. Traces of glue inside hint that the original silk interior is now lost. 11 1/2" X 8 1/2" X 5". RL*
