A early or mid 19th century Scottish tall case clock in mahogany, mahogany veneer and inlay with pressed brass rosettes. The clock has the familiar painted dial associated with the early to mid 1800s: the broke arch with a family scene by a fireplace and the four spandrels symbolically depicting the four seasons. A fine smaller carved English Regency timepiece with a solid mahogany and inlay brass case, 16" in overall height. The round white enamel dial is signed James Walker, London, and the timepiece movement features a fusee driven clockworks with a plain backplate. A light colored solid butternut or maple cased clock by John Osgood. Although Osgood was born in Andover, Massachusetts (1770), in 1793 he settled in Haverhill, NH making clocks there as early as 1793, although this example may date to about 1800. He had a long career extending into the 1840s.
