A round centerpiece bowl, about 17 1/2" in diameter and 4 1/2" high. The interior bears two stampings, one appears to be a two headed Prussian bird. The interior is nicely polished, the exterior left with patination.

A sundial in the armillary sphere style. Sometimes armillary sundials were made with numerous rings which early astronomers used to observe planets and stars. This simple version will tell time with the sun's shadow when set up correctly. The points of the engraved compass on the base need to be oriented correctly with the actual North.
