$4,400.00

A very rare matching pair of Georgian or American Federal candle boxes. Each is dovetail constructed in solid mahogany with ebonized or ebony inlay stars and circles. Both are in excellent original condition, with old finish and modest wear. One has had a now long ago repaired split on the right side of the carcass. Matching pairs of candle boxes are very rare, made at the same time for clients needing more than one box throughout their home or within a large room. Late 18th or early 19th centur ...click for details

SOLD

Pair of beaded Native American moccasins. These came with an attached label reading "Very rare Crow Moccasins from Montana in beautiful condition with olive coloring, circa 1860". Although this date may be correct, we find that many Native American artifacts are estimated as older than they are. The beads are in geometric patterns of green, pink, white, dark blue and yellow. In very good condition, although with slight soiling that indicates they were once worn. RL*

A fine medallion punch bowl, 11 1/2" in diameter. An exceptionally beautiful 18th century punch bowl, with four major medallions showing gathering figures having a party, exchanging human relations, along with eight smaller monochrome decorated medallions in red iron oxides showing delicate landscapes. The gold background is somewhat rubbed from wear. The internal bowl is sparsely decorated with a sprig of flowers and a stylized border on top. The bowl rings well, but careful inspection rev ...click for details
