A solid mahogany drop leaf table with taper legs and legs swinging out to support the folding legs. This may date to about 1810 and was found in Pennsylvania. This larger breakfast table is suitable for seating six when fully extended. The drop leaf format offers table top lengths of 20" 40" or 60", all with a 47" depth; the height is 30". Mahogany, refinished, ca. 1810 breakfast table with nicely tapered legs worked with slight undulation and reeds.

An especially attractive sterling dish, probably intended for butter, with a knife/spreader, all in the original handsome leather bound and silk lined presentation box. Since the pattern of the knife handle does not match the dish perfectly, and so this may be a substitute for the original. The box, which is in excellent condition, identifies "Kirk & Co. Art Jewelers" as the purveyor, although the maker's hallmark is not clear. RL*
